West coast of Tasmania!!! This side of the island is known as the Wild West with a growning network of trails just waiting to be embarked upon by riders: Queenstown... and The Rest of the West.
Queenstown in a tiny town in Tasmania embracing mountain biking with an outstanding network of new trails- Waterfall, Long Spur, North Owen Descent and Natural selection just to name a few. Much different to Derby and Maydena, these trails offer quite big rocks, loose gravel and shael alongside, just, epic scereny. The guys at RoamWild Tas will shuttle you to the top in a 4WD Proda... a bus just won't make the steep track.
Just North outside Zeehan, Oonah descent is SUCH a fun ride - build increditably well and still growing... you climb to the top to yet another epic view followed by a descent crusing alongside before you drop into forest for a fun and flowy good time... just to end in a small field of pink flowers... HOW GOOD!
If a bit more adventure riding is calling, Sterling Valley takes you into the bush for 11 km dropping into Rosebery...
Outside the riding, the Confluence is an interested venture and if you like waterfalls - a mostly flat railtrail to Montezuma Falls may spark your interest!
